Jack Kerouac (1922 - 1969)
Kerouac could be the most iconic writer of the Beat Movement. Not only did Kerouac come up with the name, he also lived the alcohol rich, Zen lifestyle often associated with the time. Jack Kerouac worked very closely with Neal Cassady. Kerouac is the inspiration to Bob Dylan, The Doors, and many other talented individuals.
